eGov Ph Hackathon
About the Event
The Egov Hackathon is a collaborative innovation event organized by eGov PH and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) aimed at developing digital solutions for better government services. This hackathon brought together talented developers, designers, and innovators to create tech-driven solutions that address challenges in the Philippine government. Participating in this event was an incredible opportunity to work on impactful projects that could benefit the nation and improve citizen services.
What I Gained
During the hackathon, I collaborated with my team, BigGiga, to brainstorm, design, and develop an innovative solution integrated with the eGovPH Super App. The organizers provided nine government APIs, which we leveraged to create a feature aimed at improving the experience of both riders and passengers using ride-hailing services. Throughout the competition, I gained valuable hands-on experience in software development, API integration, teamwork, and problem-solving under tight deadlines. This hackathon broadened my understanding of real-world IT solutions and strengthened my passion for creating technology that solves practical problems.
