Student Assistant (University Cashier Office)
About the Job
As a Student Assistant under the DSWD Cash for Work Program, I supported daily office tasks such as organizing documents, encoding data, managing records, and assisting with general administrative work. This experience gave me the opportunity to work in a professional environment, improve my communication and teamwork skills, and become more organized and detail-oriented. It also taught me the importance of responsibility, time management, and adaptability skills that continue to help me grow as an aspiring IT professional.
What I Contributed
I developed an Excel automation system using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) that simplified the cashier's daily workflow. By automating repetitive tasks and calculations, I helped reduce manual work, improve processing speed, and minimize human errors. This contribution made day-to-day operations more efficient and demonstrated my ability to apply programming skills to solve real-world workplace challenges.
